World SME Expo and IDT Expo Open Next Week
Design, Technology and Market Expansion Assistance for SMEs

25 November 2010 V Nearly 700 exhibitors from all over the world will be on hand for HKTDC World SME Expo and HKTDC Inno Design Tech Expo next week at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The fairs, which focus on the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), open 2 December and continue through 4 December.

A press conference, led by HKTDC Assistant Executive Director Raymond Yip, was held today to present highlights of the two fairs. "With more than 280,000 SMEs in Hong Kong, nearly half of the local labour force is under their employment," said Mr Yip. "SMEs provide key momentum for Hong Kong's economic growth. The two expos will help them raise their global competitiveness, offering SMEs the latest business information and advice, as well as creative design and technology applications from all over the world." The fairs, he added, will offer "a variety of seminars, conferences and business-matching sessions to help SMEs find business partners."
